Partner Reading

Do you wonder how Pilgrim children spent their day? Chores, chores, and more chores. We read about Samuel Eaton and his first rye harvest.

Rocky Woods 2016

This is one of the best days as a third grader at Wheelock. I can't thank our parents enough for making this possible.

The students worked hard to prepare a delicious feast. They chopped veggies, peeled and sliced apples, and more! Our menu included beef stew, chicken, applesauce, and breads.

We learned a how much work it is to keep the fire going!  The heat was nice on such a cool October day.

Fishing takes a lot of patience, and we did great!

We practiced in our PE classes and it showed!  BULLSEYE!

We finished off our day with a yummy feast, played Steal the Bacon, and went on a fun hike through the woods.

Crafts for Rocky Woods

The students braided belts, made pockets and necklaces, baked breads, weaved placemats, and decorated handkerchiefs. They worked hard and had fun! I want to thank my helpful volunteers for making this special afternoon possible.

Field Trip to Plimoth Plantation

We had a great day in Plymouth.  The students experienced life in the 17th century.  We learned a lot at Plimoth Plantation.  Thanks to our parent chaperones.
