Rocky Woods Feast 2017

We studied the Wampanoags and Pilgrims and learned all about life in the 1620s.  It was a great experience to dress up like Pilgrims and get a glimpse into what it takes to prepare the noon meal! Yes, being a Pilgrim was hard work.  Students prepared the food to get our stew, corn bread, applesauce and chicken ready.  At the fishing station, we had to wait patiently for the fish to bite.  Archery was fun, and our PE teachers prepared us by teaching us in our classes at Wheelock.  Fire tending was smoky work, but we needed to keep our fire going all morning to cook our stew.  After the work was done, we enjoyed our delicious feast and dough boys for dessert.  We played steal the bacon and finished the afternoon with a relaxing hike through Rocky Woods.  Thank you to all of the parents that made this special day possible.  Rocky Woods 2017 will be one to remember.
The big day is finally here!

We shared some knowledge before the feast and prepared for our day.
