Field Trip to Plimoth Plantation

We had a great day in Plymouth.  The students experienced life in the 17th century.  We learned a lot at Plimoth Plantation.  Thanks to our parent chaperones.

Making a Wetu

A wetu is a house used by the Wampanoags.  The frame is made of saplings from young trees, and the frame is covered with mats or bark made from grasses.
We glued paper onto our frames.

It was sticky work that took a lot of patience!

Assembly

What does expected behavior look like at Wheelock? Our teachers performed skits to demonstrate! Ask your child how to be responsible, safe, and respectful on the bus, in the bathrooms, and on the playground.

Problem Solving in Math

The students are learning about arrays in multiplication. They had to come up with different ways to arrange plants in a garden with the same number of plants in each row.  Students did well working together to solve the problem.

Circles and Stars

Learning multiplication is as easy as circles and stars.  Ask your child to explain.
