Making a Wetu

A wetu is a house used by the Wampanoags.  The frame is made of saplings from young trees, and the frame is covered with mats or bark made from grasses.

We glued paper onto our frames.

It was sticky work that took a lot of patience!

Finding Patterns on a 100s Chart

In math, we are investigating patterns to help us learn multiplication.  Can you skip count by 2s or 5s?  Are the numbers even, odd, or both?

Problem Solving in Math

The students are learning about arrays in multiplication. They had to come up with different ways to arrange plants in a garden with the same number of plants in each row.  Students did well working together to solve the problem.
